I can't believe that we are already down to 22 days before Christmas! Oh how time flies so fast, we are now approaching the end of 2015 and I know a lot of you have a lot of things to thank and be grateful for. Anyways this a long overdue post because I've been wanting to review about them but I just can't find the time to take pictures of them so here it goes at last!

I bought this a few months ago, I think the Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation is 499 pesos and the Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Two Way Cake is 399 pesos. But right now they are down to 350 pesos each! Anyways I ask the kind sales person to swatch a shade on me, and I asked her to really apply it on my face, I don't want this to be a waste just like the Maybelline White Superfresh. So said that my shade is in B3 - Natural, both in the liquid and two way cake. She applied the liquid foundation with a brush and in a circular motion, she said it's better to apply them with brush than with just your hands because it will make the foundation stay longer. Then we wait for a minute or two she applied the two way cake with a different brush this time, also in a circular motion. She said my face would not be cakey if I wait for a few minutes before I apply the two way cake. I ended up buying them because I love it on my face and it feels so smooth! Also I got a high recommendation from my friend Danelle, she swears on this product.

Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Air Whipped Liquid Foundation

I applied the liquid foundation using a brush just like the kind sales lady said, but I kind of bothered using a brush so I bought a sponge, which in return I like the coverage more using it. Though it's kinda of wasteful because some of the foundation are going into the sponge, I like that my foundation is more controlled than using the brush. Then I used a brush for the Two Way Cake, circular motion just like the sales lady did. I haven't tried using the Two Way Cake with water, you know the old way of foundations, where you have to dab the sponge into the water then dab it in the powder then onto your face. I dislike that technique and I have horrible experiences as a kind because of that foundation.

Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Two Way Cake

Pros:
  • Very affordable
  • Medium to heavy coverage
  • Doesn't have an annoying smell
  • It does make your skin satin like, very smooth and your skin feels like pore less
  • Available in different shades
  • It has SPF

Cons:
  • Need to be retouched after several hours
  • I feel like when I don;t retouched my face is kind of oily especially in the T-zone
Bare Face

Overall I'd still use this for occasions that requires heavy coverage, I kind of tried to use them as everyday use but I'm just not comfortable wearing so many make ups when I will just sit the whole day in front of my computer. I also like it that it doesn't have an alcohol smell like my Covergirl Foundation.  This is definitely a must haves for the ladies out there who wants medium to heavy coverage but comes with a very affordable price tag.
