I can't believe that it's now September. Time flies so fast and my most favorite time of the year aside from my birthday is fast approaching! I can feel that Christmas is right around the corner because yesterday I saw Christmas trees and decors already being set-up in SM Makati. So it's now time to stock up on holiday inspired make-ups!

L'Oreal  Color Riche Collection Star Matte Reds in  Pure Ruby

Let's start with the L'Oréal Color Riche Collection Star Matte Reds! When this collection was launched sometime this year I knew I have to have them or at least one or two of them though. I decided to buy the Pure Ruby, instead of the Pure Rouge because it's out-of-stock until now. I also wanted Blake Lively's shade (Pure Scarleto) because duh, who doesn't love Gossip Girl and Serena van der Woodsen. But it's too bright for me so I decided to go with Pure Ruby which is close to my M.A.C in Opera shade. But the shade is more red and more creamy when applied.

I think J.Lo is the endorser of the Pure Ruby shade but they switch to Chom (actress in Thailand) for the Asian version though.

Why I love the L'Oréal Color Riche Collection Star Matte Reds in Pure Ruby:

  • It's only 400 pesos, way more cheaper than my M.A.C in Opera lipstick
  • It's matte so the last a long time on your lips unless you eat all the time like me
  • It doesn't dry my lips
  • It suits my skin color - not too bright not too deep of a red
Left Side is the L'Oreal In Pure Ruby and on the Right side is the M.A.C in Opera shade

There is no downside for this lipstick only that it's a limited edition kind of lipsticks unlike their regular ones. But I hope they won't discontinue this product and I really hope that I get to have the Pure Rouge because as per Pinterest it's a dupe of M.A.C Ruby Woo.
